Event recap: Tauranga Chamber of Commerce Annual Golf Day, sponsored by Ultimate Motor Group

In what has become a Golf Day tradition, we dodged the bad weather circling the country and had a cracking day out on Omanu Golf Course, with another sold out session for 2022.

Despite the challenges of operating in a Red ‘traffic light’ system, due to COVID-19, Omanu Golf Course helped us solider on and a great day was had by all.

Scroll down for all the photos.

As we were required to forgo the usual shotgun start, we split the teams into two, with half teeing off from one and half teeing off from 10. This ensured social distancing where possible and for us to continue as planned.

While everyone brought their game face, there were plenty of laughs out on the course – especially when they saw (and heard) the Chamber teams arriving in bright decorated golf carts with beverages and snacks!

Our sponsors ensured there was entertainment at various sponsored holes, and plenty of opportunities to win great prizes from them too.

Thanks to our sponsors, many of whom continue to support this event year-on-year, and also to our first-time sponsors as well: Ultimate Motor Group, Hobson Wealth, Stuff, BDO New Zealand, Craigs Investment Partners, Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology, 2degrees, Oxygen8 Consulting Ltd, Maisey Harris & Co Tauranga, New Zealand National Party, Holland Beckett Law, Lysaght, Coachio Group Ltd, The Staffroom Ltd, Apricity, Port of Tauranga Ltd, Noel Leeming, NZME and Air New Zealand.
