KingSt is the partner agency of Tauranga Business Chamber, and has been our partner in developing the brand strategy and new look of our organisation.
The Tauranga team have been members of the Chamber for more than 10 years, so needless to say they have seen our organisation through a lot of change over the years. With both their historical knowledge of us and new members in their team bringing a fresh perspective, they were the perfect partner to spearhead our brand in a new direction.

Tell us a bit about KingSt.
We’re a full-service advertising, design, media and digital agency with teams working in Hamilton and Tauranga. We work with clients across a variety of sectors; over our 23-year history we have built an excellent reputation, a unique culture and a great place to work and build a career.
Tell us about your team – how does it work between your Hamilton & Tauranga offices? What expertise do you have in-house?
We have teams of account managers and designers in both offices, while all media and digital is centralised in Hamilton. The media/digital team works across both offices. Where we can, we collaborate on big projects and share resource when required. There’s a great deal of combined skill and experience which we aim to apply to all clients.
What makes KingSt a unique agency?
As well as being the only full service, fully accredited agency in the Waikato/Bay of Plenty, we offer a service that is as sharp as the big city agencies without the big city layers and cost
What has been some of your most enjoyable work?
Any work that’s a result of working alongside a client, large or small, to help achieve a set of goals where the team gets heavily invested across the agency and helps gain the desired result is always enjoyable.
What is the most rewarding part of working in branding / advertising / marketing?
Seeing our work out in the marketplace making a difference for our clients.
What are some of the biggest changes you have seen over the years, in terms of industry?
The growth of digital has been incredible, across all platforms. It’s meant we’ve had to increase our resource while staying on top of all the trends.
We still need to come up with good ideas though. Helping clients get noticed is a part of the business that will never change.

How can you help our local business community?
In a number of area!
- Many businesses need to take stock of their digital assets so we can help with our audit process.
- Branding and storytelling are other key areas – all businesses need to review this part of their repertoire as the environment changes.
- Our media consultancy is also a great way to run the ruler over media spend and make sure every dollar is being spent wisely.
