Ultimate Motor Group Annual Golf Tournament 2021

After a week of questionable summer temperatures, the weather gods turned it on for our teams playing in the annual Ultimate Motor Group Tauranga Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament 2021.

30 teams (120 players) took part in our annual networking event, playing ambrose rules on Omanu Golf Course.

Read on for full details and all the photos.

There was also much fun to be had at the various sponsored stops and, as always, good natured competition and banter between all the players.

Our awesome Chamber staff delivered drinks to the thirsty players via golf cart and we also had a great shaded hang spot back at the club for those that needed a break from the action.

At the end of the tournament, we had prizes up for grabs in our business card draw, including a huge 65” Sony TV from Noel Leeming, premium advertising from Stuff and NZME and an Air NZ prize pack.

And our golf playing winners were:

Nearest to the pin on Hole Number 17:

  • Nearest female: Lisa Kristensen
  • Nearest male: Robert Fourie

The longest drive on Hole Number 3:

  • Female longest drive: Aroha Tito
  • Male longest drive: Thomas Parker

The team with the ‘highest score’:

  • Sign Creations

Top five teams:

5: Sultans of Swing – Southbase Construction

4: NZME

3: Webber Aircon

2: Forsyth Barr

And the ultimate tournament winner…. Par then Bar – Southbase Construction!

Huge thanks to our sponsors who delivered a lot of entertainment with their own activities as well as some fantastic prizes.
