Support for Microsoft Windows 10 ends October 2025 – tips from Noel Leeming

Mike Rawnsley (Noel Leeming’s Tauranga Commercial Business Manager) explains why Tauranga businesses need to take notice of the risks and impacts of Windows 10 no longer being supported:

Starting 14 October, 2025, Windows 10 will no longer receive support updates or free software updates, leaving systems unprotected. That means increased security risks, no new features, and limited support.

We recommend upgrading to Windows 11 to enhance security, performance, and compatibility. Plus, from 22 May 2025, businesses can claim a 20% tax deduction on new eligible assets under the Investment Boost scheme from the government.

Our Noel Leeming Commercial team provides tailored solutions for your business to help make the upgrade process as smooth as possible.

What This Means for Your Business

– No more security updates: Increased exposure to cyber threats.
– No new features or improvements: Systems will fall behind in performance and compatibility.
– Limited support: Microsoft and vendors will phase out assistance for Windows 10-related issues.
