Event Recap: BWN – Networking Lunch

Amidst the buzz of conversation, delicious food, and refreshing drinks, a dynamic group of women met to catch up, discuss, connect, and make new friends at this month’s Business Women’s Network – Networking Lunch at Trinity Wharf.

Over 80 women from across the Bay of Plenty, from a variety of backgrounds and industries, all at different stages in their careers and business journey, came together to network and connect, enjoy collective reflection and positive conversation, in the Chamber’s very own version of speed dating for busy working women.

On arrival, attendees were given a table and seat number where they enjoyed getting to know the women at their table, before being shuffled around to ensure they could connect and mingle with as many other women as possible.

Business cards were exchanged, opportunities emerged, and friendships were made.

Feedback has been hugely positive, and we have welcomed several new members to the Chamber community since the event.

New Chamber member, Camilla from Joy Marketing said, “I am definitely joining – last week was my first taste, and I truly enjoyed it. Looking forward to attending more events and getting to know even more business owners.”

Thanks for the fabulous feedback!

A big thank you to BWN Committee member Rachael Nunn, from the Port of Tauranga for MCing the event. And a big thanks to Trinity Wharf for the venue, delicious catering, and their ongoing support of our events.

Our next BWN event is the Business Behind the Scenes @ Pillar Consulting on Thursday 10 November. This is a great opportunity to hear from some inspiring women who will share their journey in growing a successful business, as well as some helpful tips on best practice health and safety and HR systems.
