Tauranga Business Awards - Tauranga Chamber of Commerce

Recognising and celebrating the brilliance of local business.

When it comes to business, you can’t beat the Bay of Plenty. From large companies relocating their head offices to the region through to one-man-band entrepreneurs doing business out of their bedroom, our place is filled with inspiring, influential individuals all working together to make our city a thriving metropolis.

The Tauranga Chamber of Commerce’s annual Tauranga Business Awards are about shinning a light on every corner of our region’s business community. Whether you’ve been in business for 12 months or 12 years (and some), this is your time to reflect on your business and be recognised for where you’ve been, where you are and where you’re planning to go.

We’ve been running this event for more than 20 years, and it’s always an exciting time to celebrate local business at its best.

Thinking about entering, but it’s your first time? We welcome you to contact our Events & Sponsorship Manager Anne Pankhurst at any stage of the process. Click here to send her a quick email and she’ll be in touch.

Entries are open June through to September 2021, with an awards evening in November.

The awards night

A glitzy, glamourous evening for you to mix and mingle among your peers.
  • For somebody considering entering their business, I would say do it. Take the time to enter as you learn so much about where your business stands. The reflection and feedback gained from an independent perspective is invaluable and the end provides for a wonderful night to celebrate the company and your most important asset – your people!

  • It made us have a good look at where we were at and for us, it gave us that confidence that we’re on the right track. While the entry is comprehensive, it’s not difficult – it’s an opportunity to self audit.

    Owner, Liz van Welie Aquatics
  • It gave us a real insight into the work we have to do, but also the great things we have done. It was a really big achievement for us and for all of our staff. Our team were extremely proud to have their hard work recognised.
