Tauranga Business Awards

Recognising and celebrating the brilliance of local business.

When it comes to business, you can’t beat the Bay of Plenty.

From large companies relocating their head offices to the region through to one-man-band entrepreneurs doing business out of their bedrooms, our place is filled with inspiring, influential individuals all working together to make our city a thriving metropolis.

The Tauranga Business Chamber annual awards are about shining a light on every corner of our region’s business community. Whether you’ve been in business for 12 months or 12 years (and some), this is your time to reflect on your business and be recognised for where you’ve been, where you are, and where you’re planning to go.

This is more than a celebration – this is an opportunity to test yourself and your business, to benchmark yourself against the best of the best, and seek opportunities for growth and development.

The event has a prestigious reputation for its trusted judging process and the quality of entrants. It is one of the many ways that the Chamber supports and champions local business in the Western Bay of Plenty.

Entries are open from August through to October 2022, with an awards evening in December.

Thinking about entering, but it’s your first time? We welcome you to contact our Events & Sponsorship Manager Anne Pankhurst at any stage of the process. Click here to send her a quick email and she’ll be in touch.

  • For somebody considering entering their business, I would say do it. Take the time to enter as you learn so much about where your business stands. The reflection and feedback gained from an independent perspective is invaluable and the end provides for a wonderful night to celebrate the company and your most important asset – your people!

  • It made us have a good look at where we were at and for us, it gave us that confidence that we’re on the right track. While the entry is comprehensive, it’s not difficult – it’s an opportunity to self audit.

    Owner, Liz van Welie Aquatics
  • It gave us a real insight into the work we have to do, but also the great things we have done. It was a really big achievement for us and for all of our staff. Our team were extremely proud to have their hard work recognised.
