After five years on the BWN committee, Rebecca Ryder has stepped down to focus on her recent appointment to the board of Boffa Miskell.
We thank Rebecca for her valued contribution to the committee, congratulate her on her appointment and wish her all the best going forward.
To replace Rebecca we invited our BWN community to submit expressions of interest to join the committee.
We were amazed by the overwhelming response we received from such a high calibre of individuals. We were looking for women who would bring new perspectives and experience to the committee.
We met with a shortlist of the applicants and finally decided that we would take on two new members who would be a great fit with the committee – Gillian Johnston from Sprout Customer Research and Rachael Nunn from Port of Tauranga.
Gillian manages her own market research business and will help represent small business owners on the committee, which was something we were hoping to achieve with the new person.
Rachael is in the HR team at the Port, and is in her first role out of University. She has experience being involved in committees, and is very passionate and has a great attitude. We felt that she would bring a valuable and different perspective to the committee from current career stage.
We are looking forward to working with the pair as part of the committee.
