BWN Conference 2021 - Tauranga Chamber of Commerce

The changing face of business

We're making some changes to our biennial Cooney Lees Morgan and Craigs Investment Partners Regional Business Women’s Network Conference.

BWN was scheduled to host its 2021 conference in May, however, due to the unpredictable COVID-19 regulations, the team have decided to hold the inaugural Cooney Lees Morgan and Craigs Investment Partners Speaker Series instead.

This will be held from 2 to 5pm over two dates: Thursday, May 27 and Thursday, July 8 at Trinity Wharf, Tauranga. People can attend just one or both events.

Our 2021 theme

The theme, The Changing Face of Business, will focus on the fact that in today’s world businesses are no longer solely recognised on the products or services they produce – they must also demonstrate values, such as social responsibility, diversity, kaitiaki, and sustainability in their corporate strategy. Companies are scrutinised or praised in real-time for the decisions they make that impact not only their customers, but society as a whole.

For this series, we are selecting speakers from companies who have embraced this ideology in order to educate, inspire and challenge our audience. We are asking our speakers to share how they have had to think and act creatively, challenged the status quo and taken risks in order to achieve the success and positive reputation they have today.

We hope the diverse experiences of our speakers will inspire our audience to explore how they can become more socially responsible by stepping outside of their comfort zone, changing mindsets and pushing boundaries.

We will be in touch again when tickets are available but for now save the dates: Thursday, May 27 and Thursday, July 9 in your diary.
