Event Recap: Business @ Breakfast with Momenta

Big thanks to Momenta for hosting our first Business @ Breakfast for 2023 at The Kollective this week.

It was a great opportunity to network and connect with businesses across various sectors, including accounting, recruitment, banking, surveying and engineering, education, health, and insurance – to name a few.

Momenta used this as an opportunity to share information about their programmes and services and to engage in conversations about employment and disability inclusion in the workplace – a topic that was new to many attendees.

Momenta’s history spans 45 years. Their operations have vastly changed over this period, moving from a traditional disability day service (operating under the name Avalon) to becoming a leading provider of person-centered, empowerment-based coaching and connecting programmes.

Instead of a presentation, they mixed it up and hosted hubs where members of the Momenta team focussed on different topics – allowing attendees to move around, interact, and gain insight into different aspects of Momenta’s work.

Thank you to Momenta’s General Manager and Acting CE, Julie Saunders; Community Connectors, Campbell Higgins; Team Lead, Sabrina McQueen; Life Skills Coach, Sam Kemp, and Social Impact and Communications Lead, Kerry Pearce for sharing their knowledge.

And thanks again to everyone who joined us for the event. We hope you gained something from the morning’s conversations and enjoyed the delicious spread provided by Ruthy’s Café.
