Events

The Chamber organises over 60 events a year for the business community to be connected, inspired and informed. Below are some of the major events and series that we provide.

Business After 5

The Business After 5 (BA5) is the Chamber flagship networking event. Held on the first Wednesday of the month by a host member, it is a fantastic opportunity to showcase their business. There is on average 120 people who attend to not only learn about the host business but network amongst themselves.

Business Women’s Network (BWN)

This network of professional women meet every month for professional and personal development through a speaker program.  The events are also excellent networking opportunities with an emphasis on education, inspiration or connection.

Cooney Lees Morgan Regional Business Women’s Conference

The BWN also holds an annual conference with the purpose of providing a platform for women to learn new skills, become inspired through hearing stories, and form relationships with other women in business.

Leaders in Business Series

This is a series of speakers generally held at a lunch every two months and ensures that business people hear a range of views expressed by private sector and government leaders. Always interesting and challenging.

Golf Tournament

The Chamber holds an annual golf tournament in early December with excellent prizes and a great way to wind up the year. Always a fun day with serious intent.

Westpac Tauranga Business Awards

This is the region’s premier business awards where the Bay’s best and brightest are celebrated. Businesses who enter are winners just by going through the judging process as it is a very thorough evaluation of their business. The Awards are presented and celebrated at a prestigous black tie dinner with over 500 guests.

Kinect Business @ Breakfast

This is a focussed series on the economy held at breakfast running every second month. The series has topics such as investment, the economy and all things related with speakers such as the Reserve Bank Governor, Minister of Finance, Investment analysts, Bank Economists.

Business Quiz

The  Business Quiz is an opportunity to have some fun and asnwer the question, "Which  team is the brightest of them all?” There are fantastic prizes for this light hearted networking event.

Business Club 

This is a great opportunity for focussed networking and to use your elevator speech to promote your product or service.  This event alternates between a breakfast and after work.  Its just like speed dating - but with a business focus.

Special Events

Over and above the Chambers' main family of networking opportunities are a number of other events. These can include the Right Click Roadshow, City Leaders Luncheon, Business Expo and many others that are there for the business community to learn, be inspired or connected.
