Our Vision, Purpose and Values are as follows:
Vision statement:
Our vision is to have thriving Chamber members in a vibrant business environment
Statement of purpose:
Our purpose is to initiate, inspire and influence business vitality in Tauranga and
the western Bay of Plenty, and by doing so will be recognised as a valued partner in our stakeholders success.
Our stakeholders are:
- Members
- Sponsors
- Contract providers
- Board members
- Staff
- Smart Business Centre tenants
- The wider business community
- The national (NZCCI) and international Chambers
- Government – local, regional, national
Values Statement
We have one main value - trust. The value of trust is the foundation stone for many other values.
- Trust from members that they will get good value from their membership
- Trust within the staff that they will gain satisfaction from their employment and be lead well
- Trust from the Board that they will get a high level of performance from the team
- Trust from members that the Board they have elected will govern the organization well
- Trust from the sponsors that they will receive good value from their sponsorship
- Trust from the contract partners that their aim and objectives will be attained through the contract
- Trust from the suppliers that we will treat them fairly and with integrity
- Trust from the business community that we will provide quality services and represent their interests
- Trust from the wider community that our support of business is driven by a genuine belief that a healthy and vibrant business sector is fundamentally important to us all
Most other values such as integrity, honesty, respect etc, are all achieved if trust is attained.
